“My health was going downhill. I suffered from Epilepsy and Parkinson’s Disease. I didn’t have any appetite, I was losing weight, and I had no energy at all. I had gone to a rehab facility, and after three months they gave up on me. They said there was nothing they could do. I would never get better.
But I didn’t give up on myself. I transferred to Onondaga Center, and they didn’t give up on me either. The physical, occupational and speech therapists were all wonderful. I’ve experienced a lot of therapy at a lot of different places, and this was the first time I actually enjoyed it.
Less than two months later, I was discharged to an assisted living facility, where I live now with a degree of independence. I can’t thank the team at Onondaga Center enough.
They are the best!”
