First, I had a stroke, which led to a fall, breaking my hip. I was almost completely helpless. I couldn’t put any weight on my legs and I needed assistance to do just about everything. I needed a lot of help—and got it at Carthage Center.
The physical and occupational therapists were outstanding. They designed a rehab plan specifically for me—a plan that takes into account that I had recently suffered a stroke. It didn’t take long for me to feel my strength and endurance increasing.
Three months after being admitted to Carthage Center, I’m back home again. The team there taught me how to live on my own again, not only with rehab, but they also helped me find resources in the community. They really want me to succeed!
