“I was very weak and in terrible pain. I could hardly move and I was confined to a wheelchair. It got so bad, I didn’t want to get out of bed. I was sad, angry and depressed about my condition.
Coming to Concord Center turned out to be a blessing. The doctors and nurses met me at the door and welcomed me with open arms. It made me smile despite the pain. The very next day, the therapists got me moving. It was very hard at first, but each day it got a little easier. They did a marvelous job.
Soon after, the activities department introduced me to a program of religious services, parties and arts and crafts. The entire Concord Center team slowly but surely made me feel better and stronger. The pain, sadness and anger are gone, and I’m walking again. Amen!”
