I had been treated at the hospital for diabetic wounds, and when it came time for my recovery and rehab I was very nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. Would the staff be friendly? Would they know how to help me? Would I be comfortable there?
The answers were yes, yes and yes. The Martine Center team welcomed me with warmth and smiles. They made me feel right at home. The medical staff healed my wounds, and the therapists helped make me stronger.
But there was much more to it. I loved the food, and the activities were great—programs like cooking and arts and crafts. All in all, the Martine Center staff encouraged and empowered me. They healed my wounds and warmed my heart.
