“I was living with my brother, but when he had to move, I knew I couldn’t be on my own. I had to find a place to go where I could get the help I needed. It made me sad and I was a little frightened, because I was worried that I would be alone. I heard nice things about Deptford Center, so I chose to go there. The moment I walked in, I knew I had nothing to be afraid of.
The people, the staff and the residents at the facility were so welcoming—friendly, warm and all smiles. Their positive attitude rubbed off on me. My favorite part of the day is when we come together for activities. Everyone is laughing and talking, and I feel right at home.
Because that’s what Deptford Center is: my home. And the people there—from my roommate to the nurses to the Administrator—are all my family! “
