I am in the early stages of dementia, and when I broke my foot and had to go to the hospital, I was both in pain and in an increased state of confusion. I spent six weeks in the hospital and then I was admitted to Washington Center. If anything, I was more confused than ever. I had difficulty walking, no strength, endurance or balance. I felt like everything was broken. But the Washington Center team was wonderful—patient, understanding and professional. I actually enjoyed the therapy! The stronger I got, the less confused I was. The team repaired my broken bones and my broken spirit. I’m back home now, living with my son. I’ll definitely recommend Washington Center to anyone in need of rehab!
